If you are interested in sailing at one of the best and friendliest sailing clubs in England then look no further.

We are situated at Maylandsea on Lawling Creek which is a tributary of the tidal River Blackwater, in East Essex.

Drawing members from throughout Essex, we aim to cater for all sailing tastes and abilities with our active dinghy and cruiser sections.

For cruiser sailors the club offers mooring facilities, winter storage and an ideal location for day and weekend sailing with Maldon, Mersea Island and Brightlingsea but a few hours away. For the more adventurous, Holland, Belgium and France beckon.

The club owns boats than can be borrowed by members and are also used as part of our ‘Learn to Sail and ‘Learn to Race’ training.

Want more information? Have a question to ask? Then click here to go to the Club officers page and phone or email them - they are a friendly lot and will be delighted to help you

Come down and meet us at the weekends at the club March – December.

CLUB INFORMATION

Rules:
Harlow (Blackwater) Sailing Club is a membership based club that encourages all of its participants to take part in the life of the club. For some this involves hard work in running various activities within the club, for others it is just an occasional trip in the safety boat or a helping hand on Work Party days.
To ensure everyone can get the most out of their club, it is organised and managed by annually elected officers. In addition to the Club Officers there are 3 main committees that manage the direction and activities within the club:
· General Committee - overall direction and supervision
· Sailing Committee - all things racing and sailing
· Social - bar and social

From time to time, other groups are pulled together to manage various projects from one-off events such as Regatta Week to club development projects. If you would like to be involved, even in a small way email the Publicity Officer and you can help/join the enthusiastic team that makes it all possible.

Like all clubs we do have a set of official rules and if you click here you can read them. Club Rules
